Swimming - like old days

Had a really great evening last night, took myself off to Tamworth Leisure centre and went swimming…on my own…no kids…just me….a lane…and a fair amount of water.

Have to say I absolutely loved it, managed to do 2km in the 50 minutes I had, nothing really quick, just easy freestyle swimming…it was heaven. So good for the body and mind…slept like a dream last night, will definitely be doing again.

Let's see if it helps longer term with stress, mindfulness etc.

A quiet Sunday

A quiet day after all the fun of the fair yesterday, lie in for me then to Leatherhead for swimming. Wee man seemed to enjoy it, but hard to tell. Then a wee sleep before a trip to the park with half of Surbiton by the feel of it!

What a busy Sunday

Well that was a busy old day! Started with the little guy waking up at 5.30am and having decided he wanted in bed with Mummy and Daddy, didn’t sleep so it was downstairs at 6.30!

Lots of love fun care attention and breakfast and it was off swimming by 10! Fun at swimming, still a bit skittish when deep and not clinging onto neck but still likes the water. He was a wee mischief afterwards but a lollipop helped out a bit. Massive delays getting him with traffic jams so took an hour and that meant my trip to Richmond Park was a bit later than hoped!

Still I got a cracking 10kmin (see next post!) and really happy with time and effort!

Back home and it was Christmas Central, managed to put the tree up and have a family dinner! Shattered though, I’m a celebrity in bed tonight!
